What is a Computer Network

Computer networks can be anything, from just a small LAN at home, to the entire internet. The internet itself is just a network of networks.

Examples of network architecture models are:

• Cisco Three-Tier Hierarchical Network Architecture Model
• Spine-Leaf Model
• Cisco Enterprise Architecture Model

These models provide hierarchical structure to enterprise networks, which is used to design the network architecture in the form of layers. Eg LAN Access and LAN Core, with each layer providing different functionalities
